PGA Tour: Memorial Tournament, day one. Jordan Spieth on fire again
The start of the Memorial Tournament for Jordan Spieth can hardly be called perfect. The American had constant difficulties with access to fairways and greens, but at the same time, he incredibly managed to chop as many as six minuses. Spit spent only 22 putts on the passage of eighteen holes and often did without a putter.
Better than Jordan in the opening round made only Ryan Moore, who gaving out flawless 65 (-7). Moore had a chance to get a bogey only from the first hole, and Ryan successfully avoided it, and then steadily went out to each fairway, providing himself with numerous opportunities to roll putt on the birdie from a short distance.
The participants of the flight, in which Tiger Woods started, on the first day did not care more about the score, but about the readings of the stopwatch, with which they were accompanied by the referee at the second nine. The ending of the round Woods spent quite passively, which did not prevent him from completing the day with two minuses, but Justin Rose and Bryson DeChambeau, trying to defend their title at the Muirfield Village golf-club, played in a plus. Rory McIlroy wasn't successful at the start either, and did only two birdie against two doubles and a bogey.
